What were you doing before we engaged?

We were in the process of seeking potential investors and strategic partners in the tech sector. More specifically we were looking for individuals or companies in machine learning, data analytics, and software engineering.

What problem were you trying to solve and what were your frustrations?

We had been developing a pet healthcare technology platform that uses IoT devices and data analytics in vet medicine and nutrition to help pet care professionals and pet owners better monitor, manage, and respond to health issues while finding optimal wellness and nutrition plans for the pets in order to extend and improve quality of life.

Our system is designed to solve the problem of pet obesity and weight management, as well as empowering individuals with the knowledge and tools to take better care of the pets. This comes in a few parts. One, pairing the pet with the right pet foods and products. Two, identifying the pet’s ideal weight, wellness, and nutrition plans. Three, providing accurate and automated ways to monitor, alert, and respond to pet health issues improving early intervention and care.

As a startup, implementing the technology to achieve such a complex system can be difficult with limited resources. We had been trying to identify the right technology, engineers, and partners to do this on a limited budget. Sometimes this can be good but other times it can lead to delays to market.


Where did you first hear about us? What piqued your interest?

We learned of TechMatch at Startup Grind Global 2018 in Redwood City. We had a booth and Valentin approached our booth to learn more.

I was intrigued at his ability to see the opportunity while understanding our struggles as a startup to develop this type of system with limited resources.


Why did you decide to do business with us?

Valentin had shown his knowledge in technology, the industry, and what struggles were common for companies at our stage and how to overcome them.

I decided to move forward with Valentin because I felt confident in his knowledge as well as his dedication to help us. He proved his professionalism, responsiveness, and dedication to helping.


Describe working with us. In what area did you get the most value? Why do you think that is?

Valentin was able to help us identify our true areas of weakness within our technology implementation plan and the resources we were currently using as well as the resources we were not using at the time.

His ability to be tech savvy as well as business savvy makes for a perfect combination to assist companies like ours.


What results did you achieve from working with us? How would you describe the transformation?

Valentin was able to help us improve our thought process and needs as well as helping identify potential tech firms to help us reduce risk and eliminate tech debt. Additionally, Valentin facilitated and joined the discussions with the firms to accelerate the process of vetting and negotiations to the point we even received offers for investment from one of the firms.

The transformation was very helpful and timely. Valentin knew it was the right time to help and how to help.

Our knowledge in technology to achieve business goals had improved through his consultations.
